International House
Shiga University of Medical Science runs International House as an accommodation for foreign researchers and international students.
Qualification for Residence
Applicants should belong to one of the following categories.
- Foreign students who are registered at Shiga University of Medical Science.
- Foreign researchers who are engaged in teaching or research at Shiga University of Medical Science.
- Others who have received the permission of the Director.
Important Matters
- In principle, single person use only. Family members’ stay is not allowed.
- There is no parking area for a car (only for bikes).

As common facilities, there are a laundry room and a lounge.

Type A
kitchen (single burner gas stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, electric kettle), study desk, chair, bed (without beddings), air conditioner, closet, shower, toilet
Type B
kitchen (three burner gas stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, electric kettle), cupboard, table, study desk, chair, sofa, bed (without beddings), air conditioner, chest, shower, toilet, washing machine
Type C
kitchen (three burner gas stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, electric thermos pot), cupboard, table, study desk, chair, sofa, bed (without beddings), air conditioner, chest, shower, toilet, washing machine
Type D
kitchen (three burner gas stove, refrigerator, microwave oven), cupboard, table, study desk, chair, air conditioner, closet for futon, wash basin, shower, toilet
*All rooms are not equipped with bedding such as comforters, bed mats, sheets, blankets, pillows, futons etc. Please prepare on your own. (Lease is available)

When you want to apply for the House room, please submit an APPLICATION FOR RESIDENCE (入居申請書／Nyūkyo-shinseisho, Form 1) to International Center.
